Covid-19 Update January 2021

Water's Edge Glenarm B&B. Temporarily Closed due to Covid-19- to be reviewed Spring 2021.
The Cafe@Water's Edge - Temporarily Closed due to Covid-19. Open limited to Thursdays 1.30pm-3.00pm-takeaway coffee, cake, bakes and savouries. To be reviewed March 2020.

We hope everyone is keeping well and have found their way safely through these strange and difficult times.

We have been thinking long and hard about how we can safely re-open our B&B and offer the same high standards of service we are so proud to have provided over the past few years. It is therefore with much regret we have concluded it is best for all if we remain closed for until at least the springtime and we will review our plans for summer 2021 when the latest government restrictions are eased.

We have really enjoyed welcoming guests to our home and we worked hard to provide the best level of service to each and every guest. We have decided that to adhere to the very strict and necessary processes to keep everyone safe and limit the spread of the virus, our guest experience would be a very different one to what we have been acclaimed for and this makes us uncomfortable.

We are very sad to say, for now, our B&B doors will remain closed to new bookings. We thank everyone for their support and visits over the years, we've had the most amazing time with you all.

Jenny and Pete

The Cafe @ Water's Edge Temporarily closed due to Covid-19. Open for Takeaway Only Thursdays 13.30-3.00pm

Having successfully re-opened the Cafe @ Water's Edge on Friday 3rd July 2020 as takeaway and outdoor seating only, with the change in weather we recognised the need to invite visitors inside and we re-opened our indoor seating area in September 2020. In October 2020 we had to close as a sit in Cafe due to Government restrictions but we remained open at weekends through to end of December for takeaway.

There were two of us working under new and changing processes to keep us all safe and limit the spread of the virus. We are really grateful to those that supported us and showed patience as we worked to provide the best possible service we could.

We worked hard behind the scenes to ensure compliance with Public Health guidance to minimise the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus.

Our objective is to provide good service, great homemade cakes and scones, tray-bakes, freshly produced food and an enjoyable experience and at the same time adhere to safe practices.

We really enjoyed seeing you and we were planning to unveil a different but equally enjoyable service through the winter months.

However, following the further restrictions imposed at the end of December 2020, in order to try to curb the spread of Covid-19, by limiting non essential travel and restricting hospitality, things have changed.

For now our Cafe must remain closed as a sit in venue. The Public Health message is clear 'Stay at Home'. We will not be opening for takeaway as before. We will only open for takeaway only on Thursdays between 1.30-3.00pm. This is to coincide with the fishmonger MegaKatch who attends our premises to sell fresh fish and seafood in our village. This means when customers are coming to purchase from MegaKatch, they have the option to call in for takeaway coffee, bakes and savouries. We are happy take orders outside of these times for collection on Thursdays for cakes/traybakes/treat boxes and savouries - 24 hour notice required.

We wish you all well and hope to be able to open our doors for you to be seated and enjoy the amazing views and homemade treats @ Water's Edge Cafe.

We will keep you updated of our exciting development of our courtyard and outside seating on our social media platforms. follow us on facebook and instagram.
