A small Bed & Breakfast such as ours is clearly affected by cancellations. If you need to cancel a reservation please notify us by telephone at your earliest convenience. If you cancel less than two days prior to your booking you will be charged the first night accommodation fee. If you fail to show, we will charge the full amount of your booking. Please get in touch with us if you find yourself in difficulty with your booking.
We have one bedroom (Bay Room) that can accommodate small/medium well behaved and house trained dogs over two years subject to discussion and agreement with the proprietors prior to booking. All dogs must remain within bedrooms and are not allowed on the furniture. Dogs must not be left unattended in bedrooms and should be kept on a lead at all times within the building and transferred to vehicles during meal times. Pet owners are asked to respect other guests who may not have the same liking for pets as we do. A small fee (£5.00) will be charged to compensate for the additional cleaning required after a pet visits.
Guests may check in on the day of arrival between 1600 and 1900. If you are unable to check in at these times please let us know and we will endeavour to facilitate you and ensure there is someone here to welcome you but please be mindful that late check in can disturb other guests.
We ask our guests to vacate their rooms on the day of departure between 1030 and 1100 as we need time to prepare rooms for new arrivals.
No Smoking Policy
The house, the rear courtyard and front patio area and grounds are all non smoking. By law we cannot allow smoking on our premises.
We are legally obligated to record the details of all guests aged over 16, including the date of arrival and departure, full name and nationality. We must also record the passport number, place of issue and next destination of guests who are not British, Irish or Commonwealth citizens. All guests aged over 16 must complete a registration form on arrival. These records will be kept for at least 12 months.
Loss or Damage
Guests are requested to report any breakages, loss or damaged caused by them to Water’s Edge Glenarm property and we ask that guests leave their room in a clean, neat and tidy condition. Guests must report any loss or damage to their own property immediately on discovery to the proprietors. and we ask that they make themselves available to assist with any reports we feel necessary to report to the police. Guests may be charged an additional cleaning fee should rooms be left in an unacceptable condition. A room charge of £20.00 will be made for additional cleaning.

This Privacy Notice explains how we at Water’s Edge Glenarm Bed and Breakfast use any personal information we collect about you.
What information we collect about you.
When you make a booking with us we collect the names of all the guests who will be staying with us, the home address, email address and the telephone number of the person making the booking. We also collect a debit or credit card number to secure your booking. Cards will not be charged until after your arrival. We will offer you an option of using an alternative method of payment prior to departure. We may charge the card if you cancel late or do not show in accordance with our cancellation policy which can be found on our website.
How we use the information we hold on you.
We use your home address as part of the card payment processing to validate the card.
We will use your email address to send you confirmation of the booking and a further email shortly before your arrival date with more details of check in times and other information we feel you may find useful during your stay.
After your stay you will receive an automatic email from our booking system asking you to fill in a feedback form. We may also send you an email checking everything was OK with your stay and offering you ways to stay in contact with us by social media or email if you choose to do so.
We will not use your telephone number to contact you unless it is an emergency, or we have been unable to contact you via email.
How your data is stored
All of the personal and debit/credit card data you supply to us as part of the booking process is stored securely on a third-party system called Freetobook.
Neither we nor Freetobook will share your information with any third party unless there is a legal reason for doing so.
We would like to stay in touch and to send to people on our distribution list information about the B&B, any special offers we may have or local events. The distribution list is managed by a secure third party called Mailchimp.
Neither we nor Mailchimp will pass your details onto any third party.
We are required by law (s.24 of The Tourism (Northern Ireland) Order 1992) to collect the following
information on all our guests over the age of 16.
· the guests’ full name and address
· the guests’ nationality
· arrival and departure dates
We must keep each guest’s details for at least 12 months and have the register available for inspection by police or other authorised persons at all times.
We do this by asking you to fill in a registration form on arrival.
Water’s Edge Glenarm B&B reserves the right to refuse a guest entry and accommodation if, on arrival, we reasonable consider that the guest is under the influence of drink or drugs, and or is behaving in a threatening, abusive or otherwise unacceptable manner. We reserve the right to require a guest to leave if he/she is causing a disturbance, or is behaving in an unacceptable manner towards other guests or staff.
We believe that the information on this website is correct, but cannot accept responsibility for errors or misunderstandings.
